Isle of Man TT: Racing pushed back further due to wet roads

by admin

The resumption of racing for the Isle of Man TT following Thursday’s rest day has been delayed by more than two hours due to overnight rainfall leaving roads wet.

Clerk of the course Gary Thompson said the day’s three-race programme had been pushed back to allow more time for the roads to dry.

Ahead of action on the 37.7-mile (61km) Mountain Course, a course inspection lap has been scheduled to take place at 13:15 BST.

The A18 Mountain Road was closed at 11:00, with roads on the lower section shut at 12:00 on what is due to be the penultimate race day of the two-week festival.
